Surrender to the Shredder

It’s rare that leaving something in shreds is a good thing. But when your business reputation depends on protecting sensitive information, a reliable shredding service can be invaluable. Enter Canada-based Shred-It.

Shred-it has 140 locations internationally. Most branches are within the United States and some are in countries such as Argentina, South Korea and South Africa. You can choose between regularly-scheduled and one-time services.

Scheduled services are at regular intervals based on your company’s need. After Shred-it schedules your service, you’ll go through the same three-step process at each appointment. At every appointment, Shred-it will take documents and materials out of your locked consoles and take them to the truck where the document destruction will take place. Shred-it then takes shredded materials to its own facility for recycling. You’ll get a certificate of destruction upon every visit.

One-time services can be a good option if you’re relocating offices or just went through a massive spring cleaning. In this option instead of getting materials out of a locked console, Shred-it destroys whichever documents you’d like. And, one big time saver: you don’t need to remove any paper clips, staples or binder clips from your documents.
