Google has already ruled the online search world and now it’s tackling the instant messaging service space. If you have a Gmail account, you can use Google Talk to IM other Gmail users directly from a contact list that appears when you log into your Gmail account.
Since GTalk functions via Gmail, businesses that already use Gmail as an e-mail service will find it the most useful. It also integrates nicely into Google’s other business-friendly applications, such as its Docs, SketchUp and Code downloads. However, if you haven’t jumped on the Google and, subsequently, Gmail bandwagon, it may not work for you.
