It took a few hundred millennia for neanderthals to start walking upright. But since the dawn of the computer age, us homo sapiens have been twisting and turning our wrists to fit our keyboards just right. The folks at Logitech are taking us back to our roots -- somewhat -- by providing a keyboard that makes it easier to type and creates a more natural feel. The company’s Cordless Desktop Wave Pro has a wave-shaped design that makes typing easier. The keyboard is sold with a wireless, ergonomically-designed rechargeable mouse.
Whether you have short stubby fingers or long lanky ones, you probably have to stretch and move them so they can reach certain keys. The Wave Pro keyboard has keys of varying heights, so you don’t have to keep straining. The keyboard has a five-degree curve so you don’t have to bend your wrists while you type either. A palm rest is also attached so you have a comfortable place to rest your hands.
The keyboard and mouse includes an impressive 2.4 GHz wireless connection. The connection can definitely come in handy when you’re working in a busy office. Additionally, the keyboard’s battery life can last up to three years. And the mouse? It can be charged on-the-spot via USB.
Like other ergonomic keyboards, the Wave Pro comes with one-touch application keys as well as programmable function keys. But Windows Vista users get a special treat — hot keys were specially designed for Vista. You can access your photo gallery, Flip 3D Zoom and other gadgets with one keystroke.
